The 6 month Community Transformations DTS (Discipleship Training School) is designed to equip and unleash a generation upon the world who are fueled by radical prayer and deep love, willing to change the world and disciple nations! As a DTS community we come before the Lord daily to learn from him, apply the word of God radically to our lives, and take the message of Jesus to the streets. Outreach locations are chosen early on in the 3 month lecture phase, so you can begin to engage with the Lords heart for your outreach nation, then you travel to that location for three months. The goal of outreach is to live out an example of what the rest of your life will be, regardless of where the Lord takes you. The Community Transformations DTS is a place where you can begin to live a transformed life for His Glory.
As the Community Transformations family, we have a deep value for seeking to know Jesus and have the presence of God manifest in every part of our lives. In abiding in the vine (John 15) and being with Jesus (Acts 4:13), we see ourselves transformed and partner with Jesus to see the nations transformed.
We are all about being transformed to be like Jesus, to walk like Jesus walked, and even suffer with him for the sake his glory in all the earth. We want to know Jesus, look like him, and follow him into the rest of our lives.
By being a transformed community, loving God, and being loved by Him, we display the transformative power of the gospel to the world. As we walk like Jesus in the nations, bringing his love to every part of society, to the rich and poor, to the lost and the broken, the simplicity of encountering God and his gospel transforms the world. All disciples have the power to change the world, bringing people to Jesus, and teaching them to do all that he commanded (Matt 28:18). It’s an invitation for the world to know God and be transformed as they follow him. This is Revival - the turning of our hearts to God, with a desire to glorify him with all of our lives.
The DTS is just the start - Community Transformations is also all about launching transformative families of disciples around the globe!
Centered around the presence of God, these communities will seek to bring his Kingdom wherever they are, even in some of the hardest and darkest places on earth. It is our desire to raise up and launch many of these families in the next several years, and you can be a part! Students in the DTS are invited to live the radical life of Jesus, responding from His love with a desire to bring him the glory he deserves. Community Transformations is all about radical intimacy, radical community, radical generosity, radical obedience, and radical faith. Come join us with your gifts, passions, and abilities, living out intimacy with Jesus, unto fruitfulness in the nations.
This school will run for 24 weeks, from September 26, 2013, to March 14, 2014. Fees for the 12-week lecture phase of the school are $4,235 (room, board and tuition). There are significant fee discounts for students from developing nations. Fees for the 12-week field assignment include airfares, housing and food, and they are estimated to be $4,000-$5,500.

Okay, now we all know the most common way to fundraise comes from the good ol’ support letter. And today we wanted to share with you all about things we have learned and how you can have the most affective time sending out these potential money makers.
- Always have a picture. People are visual, do not go without one!
- Clearly convey your vision/ your heart behind what you are doing. What is the Lord stirring in you for the world?
- Your opening paragraph should simply include what you will be doing, for what length of time and a piece of vision.
- Make bullet points of how people can get involved with what you are doing. Listing these two things: How they can be involved prayerfully and financially. (Ex: ‘I am hoping for 45 people to commit to praying for me during this porcess, if you would like to be one of these people, who get monthly updates on how to pray please send me your email address.’)
- List easy and multiple ways for supporters to donate. Have an online option and a mailing option.
- Use bold and italics. In case you get the people who have every bit of interest in what you are doing and zero interest in reading this can be very helpful.
- Close by thanking your audience for taking the time to read/ supporting you in past endeavors.
- Place a pre addressed envelope along with the letter of where you wish for checks to be sent. That way all they have to do to donate is put a stamp on it and send it in.
- Don’t wait til the last minute!
- Be confident! People want to hear from you. Know you are worth investing in!
- Gather at least 100 addresses. I promise, you do that many people. Even if its family friends you havent spoken with in years, majority of them would love to hear from you.
- Follow up! Give about three weeks after sending out letters to contact in another way. Call them, email them, do something asking if they got your letter and if they had time to consider supporting you. This will feel awkward, but I promise its worth it!

We hope this helped, and your first time sending out support letters will be way more fruitful than most peoples. We as staff are contending for each of your finances and fully trusting that you all be extremely fruitful in your support raising adventure. Embrace this time, its a true privledge to trust the Lord for finances, and increase your faith like never before. Know who your provider is!

Hailey, Drew and Miriam.
Hailey Bland was born in the great state of Texas. She is passionate about people coming alive to the truth of the gospel and seeing them discover their identity in Him. She studied media and filmmaking and loves when people discover more of Jesus through media. She also enjoys photography, pic-nic’s, and a good game of ping-pong.
Drew Simpson is a strong, dynamic leader who has walked with the Lord since he was a small child, and grew up in the largest and greatest of the states… Alaska. Drew began to step into leadership in his teens as a worship leader, and has continued to lead people into intimacy with the Lord. Drew is passionate about revival, training, and every form of worship. You will often find Drew singing a new song to the Lord whether he is leading in the prayer room or shopping.
Miriam Steiner comes from the beautiful country of Denmark. She has a passion for Jesus and seeing people walk out who they were created to be. She longs to see people go into all the world and tell people about Jesus. You will often see her eating candy and hanging out with people.

We thought we would get you all stoked for this coming DTS by posting this photo of our view from the other night. **This is the view from our campus, by the way.**
For our first blog post we wanted to update you on a few things regarding paying your school fees. As soon as you are able to, please pay your initial $1,000 down payment, which will secure your housing for the school, this will be due prior to arrival. However, the sooner the better of course!
How do I pay? You can pay your school fees a few different ways, but the easiest way will be to do it online. This is a great way for other people to donate to your school fees, but make sure you give them all the info needed for them to do it. If you are paying online, please make sure you select the correct ‘School Seminar/ Name’. There has already been some confusion this & it is very important to put in correct information. The correct one is: ‘DTS- Community Transformations (2013- 4qtr.)’.
How much is due on arrival day? On arrival day, September 26th 2013, the fees that are due is for your lecture phase NOT your outreach. The full $4235 is due. (Your $1000 down payment is apart of that fee, so on arrival day you will need the remainder.)
Do I need to wait til arrival day to pay the full fees? Absolutely not! If you can pay the full amount now, please do so. It will help the base in a huge way the sooner you get this done. If you do not have the FULL fees now, pay what you can as they come in.
What about outreach fees? Each outreach varies in cost, but plan for between $4000 and $5000. Four weeks into the school, $2500 will be due then. And the remainder, or the full amount will be due week 8.
