After walking up the stairs up to the campus (also known as the stairs of glory) the first thing you’ll see on campus are a ton of flags surrounding a fountain. This area has been simply coined “The Flags”. The flags are from all the countries that are represented by students currently on base.
The Ohana Court
This is the place where the whole family of YWAM Kona gathers together twice a week. Every Monday morning we meet here to start of our weeks with worship, and again on Thursday nights for “Thursday Night Gathering” for more worship and a message.
The Prayer Room
Two words: air conditioning. Just kidding. The best part about this room is what people gather here for. A couple times a week we gather with other DTS’s to pray and worship and intercede for the nations. It’s also open 24/7 for all your quiet time (and air conditioning) needs.
This is obviously an important place, you’ll be spending a lot of time here. First off, all meals are provided here, and it’s so fun to sit around a big table with all of your friends and talk long after the plates are clean.
Banyan Tree Cafe
This is a big time favorite, the Banyan Tree Cafe. This is kind of the hotspot on campus. There’s always lots of people congregated here when it’s open. It’s a great place to grab a cup of coffee and read a book or hang out with friends or meet new people. There’s always someone around!
